INDIANAPOLIS – enVista, a leading supply chain consulting and IT services firm, today releases at ProMat the latest version of its proprietary software, Model DCTM<\/sup>. enVista facility design engineers use this material flow analysis tool to analyse a client\u2019s distribution centre (DC) and define opportunities for improvement within the facility.<\/p>\n

The latest version of Model DC allows enVista associates to more efficiently model DCs and better understand order profiles, the velocity of product movement, and on hand inventory, enabling enVista\u2019s team to define optimal picking and storage equipment. Model DC features 75 different charts and graphs that can be used in the modelling process. The new release also allows data to be modeled in hours instead of days or weeks.<\/p>\n

enVista Senior Director Jimmy Benefield said, “Model DC gives us additional functionality that takes modelling to the next level. We are able to quickly and accurately model a DC to understand throughput and flow of product through the facility.
