This session will inform attendees of the importance of a demand-driven supply chain that offers the right SKU, at the right place, in the right quantity and at the right time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;We look forward to sharing our global transportation and supply chain expertise with Multimodal attendees,&#8221; said Barnes. &#8220;Inventory optimization is one of the most difficult, yet critical components of omni-channel retail success impacting not only retailers, but also manufacturers and distributors. In order to compete and offer a seamless shopping experience across all channels, retailers must adopt a buy and fulfill from anywhere strategy, but it is easier said than done. This presentation will help companies understand how to improve inventory visibility, control and positioning, across the extended supply chain and all channels, to bolster customer service and brand loyalty.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>McGough said, &#8220;It used to be that warehousing was on its own island when it came to supply chain, but thanks to big data\u2014and all of the inventory information we&#8217;re able to access\u2014 that&#8217;s thankfully no longer the case. Clients often approach us with a desire to audit every transaction within the warehouse in order to understand total supply chain costs.
