As part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iwla.com\/iwla-essentials-of-warehousing-course\/\">IWLA Essentials of Warehousing Course<\/a>, held in Tempe, AZ, enVista Senior Director Tim Talarico will discuss the topic, followed by a question and answer session. This is one of several presentations during the four-day warehousing course, which will take a deep dive into every area of warehouse logistics and emerging areas of 3PL management.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Labor vs. Automation: Leverage Options Available \u2013 Thursday, October 8 (3:15 p.m. MST) This session will inform attendees about when it makes sense to use automation in a warehouse or 3PL and when it makes the most sense to leverage labor. Professionals from 3PLs will learn the importance of keeping a wide scope of vision when making decisions, ensuring they don\u2019t inhibit overall throughput capacity or cause problems up or downstream.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cCurrent third party logistics providers are looking to better serve their existing clientele by providing expanded services including higher throughput volumes,\u201d said Talarico. \u201cTo meet client needs, typical manual processes may not be viable performance-wise, so other optimal solutions may be required such as automation or improved software. Varying types of automation when compared to labour may be needed in order to set the stage for growth.
